- 1 lb smoked beef, diced
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat; brown the smoked beef.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, add beans, and simmer 30 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra heat
