  • 1 lb smoked beef, diced
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat; brown the smoked beef.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
  4. Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, add beans, and simmer 30 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra heat
