- 3–4 pounds chuck roast (beef)
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup grape juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet and caramelize onions for 10‑15 minutes.
- Season the roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Place roast in crock pot and top with onions.
- Pour beef broth and grape juice over roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8‑10 hours until tender.
- Rest 10 minutes, slice, and serve.
